Nokia downfall

Downfall of Nokia

It is still unacceptable fact that Nokia despite being the first company to led the wireless revolution in 1990 and also the first company to introduce the smart phones to the world, failed to survive in the market against Apple and Samsung in producing smart phones.

Let's have a look at the reason behind it's downfall

1. Lack of innovation- Nokia spends a lot in the R&D department but still they are not able to compete. The reason is that their R&D department was not able to come up with some innovative ideas that can compete against iPhones.

2.Introduction of windows phone- Nokia introduced Lumia series in the market that was basically a Windows phone. At that time Samsung also launched the same phone working on windows, this led to downfall for the Lumia series.

3. Lack of Management- the success of the product based on the various factors and one of the most important factor is management. Despite working on the some of the innovative ideas the managers did not launch the products timely in to the market.
